Rest in peace, Mr. Hitchens. You were a beautiful and brilliant man. I’m going to miss you terribly.

The word “fearless” gets bandied about a lot. This man was genuinely that. He was fierce and brilliant, truly humane. I feel so, so sad that he has gone, the world needed him, we needed him, and now I’m crying again.

This video hits the spot. And it illustrates just what we, and our culture’s discourse, has lost.

RIP: Christopher Hitchens, world-renowned journalist, writer, thinker, and antitheist, passed away today following a hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.
He was 62.
Vanity Fair, where Hitchens served as contributing editor for nearly two decades, broke the news. “There will never be another like Christopher Hitchens,” said the magazine in a statement. “A man of ferocious intellect, who was as vibrant on the page as he was at the bar.”
His final piece for Vanity Fair, “Trial of the Will,” was published just last week.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Blue, and their three children.

Man … Obama really pissed people off with his “War on Religion” (not a thing) Making it so kids can’t pray in school (they can, the school just can’t ask them to), or celebrate Christmas (still celebrated just under the blanket of “Happy Holidays” so everyone can feel included). I’m glad Rick Perry is standing up for America to make her strong again with mandatory prayer, stripping gays of what little rights they have, and killing the brown people.(Oh my god I’m scared)

In addition to all the money we’ve spent on vet bills, food, accessories, etc… I now have to spend another 300+ dollars on fees and things needed for travel so I can bring this dog home on Christmas break. What a Money Pit, how can you people have children?

Celebrity Sighting of the Day: Daniel Day-Lewis was spotted today in Richmond, Virginia’s Arcadia restaurant in character as Abraham Lincoln.
Day-Lewis is set to play the Great Emancipator in a 2012 biopic being directed by Steven Spielberg.
According to one snoop, Day-Lewis has apparently been in character since March, and is so committed to the role that “[h]is real name doesn’t even appear on the call sheet.”

Oh you know. Just listening to Crimpshrine really loud on a Thursday night while trying to get a dog to eat kibble she hates and waiting for my girlfriend to get home.

Johnny those are the liberal books they’ll be burning after the show.

johnnypemberton:

How ironic, they’re surrounded by books.

daveholmes:

If you like poorly-miked women who don’t seem to have met one another pretending they’re not allowed to talk about Jesus and rehashing questions that have been resolved for ages in a forum that looks like they’re all being held hostage, then Politichicks is the cheaply-produced web show for you.

How do we get that law that shuts down youtube passed? How about we just shut it all down.
