Cocksparrer - England Belongs To Me
When I was in London my friend Dexter took us to a “Punk Night” at a local pub. Basically the huge basement bar/dancefloor was filled with a bunch of people who listen to My Chemical Romance and some dipshits were playing their ipods. There was some good stuff being played and some awesome stuff. This being one of my all time favorite punk/oi tracks and being in England I asked the “DJ” if he could play it. He said that he didn’t have it, but he’d ask the other guy. The other guy had it but he said the “kids probably wouldn’t like it or know who it was.” I felt sick hearing that. Or maybe it was because I had been drinking from morning till night 5 days straight. Who knows. I’ll never drink like that again, and probably will never be at a “punk night” in London either.
