Now.. I realize Don Draper is a fictional character and didn’t invent the phrase “It’s Toasted” but I thought there was some truth to the conception of the Lucky Strike tag line. I thought since it was featured like that in Mad Men, maybe it was invented in the 50’s to get away from not being able to make medical claims in ads anymore. But this ad from a 1920’s World Series program made me realize that isn’t true. 

And that’s what I learned today. Don’t believe everything you hear, on Mad Men.
