When I was a child my mother stored all my He-Man toys in the same box she kept a lot of her old hippie paraphenalia. As a result, every time I smell a girl wearing patchouli my first thought is- ”Hm. That bitch smells like He-Man.”

Actually. The “Stinktor” toy (the dude who looked like a skunk) was given a scent. And that scent, patchouli. So it was actually your He-Man toys that made your he man toys smell like that. It took me a while to figure out how I KNEW that smell every time I smelled patchouli. It brought back some weird thing in my youth I couldn’t put my finger on, then one day out of nowhere i went “HOLY SHIT THAT’S THE HE-MAN SKUNK GUY!”

“The manufacturers of the original Stinkor toy mixed the plastic used in the mold with patchouli oil to achieve its unique scent. It was done this way, instead of being sprayed or coated, to prevent the smell from wearing off over time. Many toy collectors mention that, even 20 years after its original purchase, the Stinkor toy still retains its smell. ”
