A rare rant.
So I’ve read more than a few posts from NYC tumblrs complaining about subway fare hikes. Do you have ANY IDEA how lucky you are for your public transit? ANY IDEA?! I’m assuming 99% of you originally came from some other city and are well aware. Oh no! Your UNLIMITED 24 hour ability to get anywhere by train is 100 bucks?! you poor babies. I spend almost twice that in gas per month, and that’s in addition to the 350 dollar car payment, insurance, registration, and maintenance. Shut up all of you. Shut up. If that 20 bucks hurts you that bad have one less night at the Alligator Lounge or skip that MGMT show. I’m jealous of your lives, and your city. Have you ever been on the subway in Los Angeles? No? Neither has 95% of Los Angeles, because it goes NOWHERE and stops running at midnight. MIDNIGHT?! You can take a train STRAIGHT to the ballpark, where as I have to ride my bike because traffic to Dodger stadium makes a 10 min drive take 2 hours.
Anyway.. I’m done rambling. So just… shut up. I’d pay fucking 300 dollars a month for what you have. Asshats.
